Twitter just announced on their official Twitter account that they now have a “richer photo experience” for images that show up on the timeline.
From the Twitter.com blog:
Starting today, we’re making your twitter.com timeline more immersive by uncropping photos, so you can experience and present them as they were meant to be viewed.
We’re also introducing larger, more beautiful multi-photo displays, which bring out more of each photo.
What does this mean for social media managers? I would imagine that some engagements that were happening before – such as clicking to reveal a full single image on a tweet – will happen a lot less.
What do you think about the new Twitter image presentation? Do you think this will improve follower engagement? Let me know in the comments.
