Our UF Commencement aka #UFGrad seems like ages ago, but people are still talking about it, which is great! I was recently interviewed by Samantha Reed of USA Today College to discuss our #UFGrad campaign.

At UF, the social media team encourages use of the hashtag by utilizing the video boards in the O’Connell Center, where graduation is held, to display messages and photos in a live stream similar to what is commonly seen at concerts and sporting events. All of that is done in an effort to get students excited about their accomplishments, says Bruce Floyd, social media manager at UF.

“I’m a Gator,” says Floyd. “My goal is to make students that are graduating understand that we care about them and that we’re excited for them. We’re proud of them.”

I’m very proud of the work of our #UFSocial team, so make sure to read the entire article – and watch our embedded video as well!
